Hi, I’m Choi
I’m a travel writer and content creator based in Seoul, South Korea.
After living in Seoul for more than 20 years, I spent two years traveling through Southeast Asia. When I returned, familiar neighborhoods began to feel new again. I started exploring Seoul from a traveler’s perspective, visiting the markets, restaurants, museums, and local streets I had once overlooked.
Korea by Choi shares firsthand travel stories and practical information for international visitors to Korea. You will find honest restaurant reviews, Seoul neighborhood guides, local food experiences, and simple ideas for planning your trip.
I prefer slow travel and everyday local experiences to rushing through a long list of famous attractions. The places featured here are based on my own visits, photographs, and impressions.
My goal is to help you discover Seoul and Korea with more confidence—and experience the country beyond the usual tourist route.
